African American Read-In 2018 - “You do the stories”, she said. “I’ll do the interviews and you write the clever stuff for the two stories”. That was Cathy, about 20 minutes ago. So here I sit, trying to think of something clever for the Africa American Read-In, held by the Irving Public Library recently. I feel sorta bad even thinking about being clever on this topic, it’s SEROIUS stuff. And the folks at the Irving Public library are serious about it. The African American Read-In was established in 1990 and is the oldest event dedicated to diversity in literature. It was part of African American History Month and a great event.
